Temper Temper Temper

How to hold your temper

NAIL IN THE FENCE

Make sure you read all the way down to the last sentence. (Most importantly the last sentence)

There once was a little boy who had a bad

temper.

His Father gave him a bag of nails

and told him that every time he lost his

temper, he must hammer a nail into the back

of the fence.
The first day the boy had

driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next

few weeks, as he learned to control his

anger, the number of nails hammered daily

gradually dwindled down. He discovered

it was easier to hold his temper than to

drive those nails into the fence.

Finally the day came when the boy didn't

lose his temper at all. He told his father

about it and the father suggested that the

boy now pull out one nail for each day that he
was able to hold
his temper.

The days passed and the young boy was finally

able to tell his father that all the nails
were gone. The father took his son by the

hand and led him to the fence He said, 'You

have done well, my son, but look at the

holes in the fence. The fence will never be

the same. When you say things in anger,

they leave a scar just like this one. You can put
a knife in a man and draw it out.

It won't matter how many times you say 'I'm

sorry', the wound is still there. A verbal

wound is as bad as a physical one.

Friends are very rare jewels, indeed. They

make you smile and encourage you to succeed.

They lend an ear, they share words of praise

and they always want to open their hearts to us.'

Show your

friends how much you care.

Please forgive me if I have ever left a hole.

On 15th December 2007, Jesus' Kids group organised a special gathering for the young youths for the church. It's a Jesus Kids' Christmas Party!!! What can u expect from parties??? Emm...

5. The Great Ones??????.... ^^

Too bad Joel didn't come, sobz.... Half of the Great Ones not there...

Anyways, here's what happen..

I came a bit late so I missed a bit of the starting of the day. There will be two clowns walking around wishing Merry Christmas with a screechy voice... ^^ Why clowns??? Err.. u see arrr... actually....Clowns are like that la..

ehem ehem..

Then, the kids learn how to do the Jesus Kids' cheer!!! it's basically only these few words..

YEA YEA YEA YEA JeeeSSSUUSSS KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those kids are so happy la....

Next, they are thought why we celebrate Christmas. The answer is...

Food???

Birth of Christ!!!!!!!!

So, put back the 'Christ' in 'Christmas'!!!

After that, is a caroling performance by the our very own Blessed Ministry. It's not a full team but still got the one of the Great One so it's still has the PoWER!!!

Fr. Chua came to say a prayer soon after... Then, more caroling!!

Exactly 3:05pm, Peter came in with a mysterious box... containing...

Ayam Brand...

It's the prizes for the next game. I'm not interested so that's why those kids can win... ahhaa... lucky kids...

They just have to imitate a chicken 'kUuukuUU" sound.... SOOo CUTE LA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Next, the kids play a bit of Quiz Bee... Prizes are sponsored from Vico.. Waa.. not bad ha.. got good sponsors...

Next is a sketch! I luv watching sketches!!!!

They are so serious about sketches.. look at those costumes man...

The sketch is mainly about how the 3 Wise Men found Jesus at the manger.

Then, food arrives!!!!!!! Everyone enjoyed their food to the full while I had to run, cause I got caroling that night!!!

Weird, last to come, and first to go... ahhh....

A two minute read......

Read this story, and
follow the recommendation at
the end...

As I was walking
down life's highway
many years ago

I came upon a
sign that read

Heavens Grocery Store.

When I got a
little closer

the doors swung
open wide

And when I came
to myself

I was standing
inside.

I saw a host of
angels.

They were
standing everywhere

One handed me a
basket

and said "My
child shop with care."

Everything a
human needed

was in that
grocery store

And what you
could not carry

you could come
back for more

First I got some
Patience.

Love was in that
same row.

Further down was
Understanding,

you need that
everywhere you go.

I got a box or
two of Wisdom

and Faith a bag
or two.

And Charity of
course

I would need some
of that too.

I couldn't miss
the Holy Ghost

It was all over
the place.

And then some
Strength

and Courage to
help me run this race.

My basket was
getting full

but I remembered
I needed Grace,

And then I chose
Salvation for

Salvation was for
free

I tried to get
enough of that to do

for you and me.

Then I started to
the counter

to pay my grocery
bill,

For I thought I
had everything

to do the Masters
will.

As I went up the
aisle

I saw Prayer and
put that in,

For I knew when I
stepped outside

I would run into
sin.

Peace and Joy
were plentiful,

the last things
on the shelf.

Song and Praise
were hanging near

so I just helped
myself.

Then I said to
the angel

"Now how much do
I owe?"

He smiled and
said

"Just take them
everywhere you go."

Again I asked
"Really now,

How much do I
owe?"

"My child" he
said, "God paid your bill

a long long time
ago."

This poem has
been sent to you

with love and for
blessings
Hugs to all who take their time to read this..may God bless you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..luv u all..

Understanding the Word

Here's a little something I took from our bible sharing yesterday...

Understanding the Word (Lectio Divina)

Step 1 : Reading
What does this passage mean?

Step 1 is really basic la... u can't understand unless you read ^^

*laughter*

Step 1 means that you have to read the passage over and over again until you've understood it fully. Here's a tip, as you read the words, read them one by one and try to imagine an image of the passage when you reading. It helps a lot!

Step 2 : Meditation
Is there a special message for me??

Basically, after you read, try to look for some verses that somehow strikes you. There's always something!! That's for sure...

Find the verses that somehow relate to your life, it may answer you questions about common Christian issues like sin and God's Love.

Step 3 : Contemplation
What is God saying to me personally???

This part is kinda hard, unless you really really want to hear... This is the part when you actually try to listen to what God himself is trying to tell you...

Try saying this:
Here I am in God's presence, He speaks to me and within me, Lord open my heart to listen to you

In every conversation, there's two basic things, which is...

  1. The Desire to Be Understood
  2. The Desire to Listen

There's no doubt that God has an unlimited desire to be understood, what's left is just your desire to listen...

Step 4 : Prayer
After reflecting on the passage and inspired by it, I respond to God. I praise and glorify God. How can I build an intimate relationship with God who loves me???

This part, really is about honesty and being true to God. Tell God about everything that you want. Close your eyes and just say your thoughts. Every person has a different prayer and every prayer shall not be left unheard by our daddy.

Step 5 : Action
How does God want me to live by his Word in a special way??

This part is where changes do take a permanent place in your life. Think about what should you do tomorrow and the next day and other days. You want to leave a permanent mark of what you have felt and prayed for in your life and ultimately, everyone around you...

Help this helps you in your bible reading!!!

By the way, our bible sharing are held:

Venue :BSC Parish Hall

With his blood, he has saved me

Here's the lyrics

Oslo Gospel Choir - My Tribute
From a live concert
Song by: Andrae Crouch

How can I say thanks
For the things you have done for me
Things so undeserved
Yet You gave to prove your love for me
The voices of a million angels
Could not express my gratitude
All that I am and ever hope to be
I owe it all to thee

To God be the glory, to God be the glory
To God be the glory,
For the things He has done
With His blood He has saved me
With His power He has raised me
To God be the glory,
For the things He has done

Just let me live my life
And let it be pleasing Lord to thee
And should I gain any praise
Let it go to Calvary

With His blood He has saved me
With His power He has raised me
To God be the glory
For the things He has done

To God be the glory, to God be the glory
To God be the glory,
For the things He has done
With His blood He has saved me
With His power He has raised me
To God be the glory,
For the things He has done
